The annual conference of Energy Cities "Grafting Cities" is taking place in Valencia (Spain) on June 26-27
Why Valencia?
The city is the European Green Capital for 2024. Therefore, this week in Valencia is called Valencia Cities Climate Week, as the city is hosting three different events:
June 25: Annual conference "Mission Cities"
June 26: EURESFO and related conferences
June 27: Annual conference "Grafting Cities"
Throughout the week, representatives of various European cities join forces for sustainable development and the search for joint solutions to overcome climate threats.
Energy Cities
EECU has been a collective member of the European Organization of Energy Efficient Cities Energy Cities since 2008. That is why this year EECU representative, Mariana Prystupa, is taking part in the annual Grafting Cities Summit and the Energy Cities General Meeting in Valencia.
The purpose of the event is to show what transformations are already taking place in cities. For two days, representatives of municipalities explore the strengths of each region to identify the invisible: projects that have led to major changes, real needs of cities, or infrastructure that is lacking to meet the needs of residents.
