The 100th community joined EECU!
On Thursday, October 3, at the meeting of the EECU Board, the accession to the Association of the Chornomorsk Community was approved, making it the hundredth member! Despite the difficulties and challenges caused by the martial law in the country, the Association is growing every year. This means that Ukrainian communities strive to improve the quality of life of their residents and become more energy efficient!
Let's get acquainted with Chornomorsk.
Community is located in the Odesa Oblast, until 1927 the town was called Buhove, and until 2016 - Illichivsk. The community unites 4 settlements with a population of over 70 thousand people. Since 2017, the community has been a member of the Covenant of Mayors East initiative. And last year, in 2023, the community's energy manager won the TikTok video competition organized by EECU for the Sustainable Energy Days. A great start to cooperation with the Chornomorsk City Council!
