Sustainable Energy Days ended in Chortkiv community

Sustainable Energy Days were held in the Chortkiv community from May 14 to 30. The events were aimed at raising awareness among community residents about energy efficiency, climate protection, development of renewable energy sources, reduction of resource consumption, and involvement of young people in green initiatives.
Representatives of the Chortkiv Youth Council discussed the future of their educational institutions, the “green” transformation of the community, the policies implemented by local authorities, and ways to engage young people in these processes. Yegor Farenyuk, Head of the Energy Efficiency Fund, presented the Green House program for condominiums in the Chortkiv community. Deputy mayors of the Ternopil region paid a working visit to the Chortkiv community and learned about the implemented solar power plant projects and the importance of a green transition.
The community held exhibitions for children, organized hikes along eco-trails, eco-picnics, didactic games “Sort the Garbage”, “Who Lives Where on Planet Earth”, and a competition for the best eco-bag. In gymnasiums, 7th grade students were given a talk on “Modern use of natural resources for energy saving” and 9th grade students were given a conference on “Sustainable development as a concept of human survival.”
