Results of the Second ESINERGY Project Meeting Organized in Čakovec (Croatia)
With the participation of the representatives of all 16 partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Ukraine, the second partners’ meeting of the ESINERGY project was organized in Čakovec, Croatia on 24th and 25th of September.
Besides the current status of the Project development and time plan of future activities, the participants have focused on the one of most important deliverables of the Project – transnational master plan. The participants have discussed the content of the plan, the structure of the future document and the aim of the plan. They have been hard-working in groups which discussed the possible ways of involvement of the stakeholders’, the aims of the master plan and structure of the document. Partners also agreed on communication activities for the next two project periods (next 12 months) and contributed to the establishment of the country specific methodology for calculating the project impact.
On the second day of the meeting, besides the managerial issues, the participants joined the study visit to the Knowledge Centre of Medjimurje County – the place where one of the Project’s pilot investments is being implemented. The visited pilot investment site is an administrative building in an ex-military complex which will achieve energy independence through installing a battery storage system and an upgraded smart metering system.
As mentioned earlier, as part of implementation of the ESINERGY project, Association "Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine" is also implementing the pilot component, which includes modernization of the heating system in one of the hospital buildings in Khotyn municipality (Chernivtsi region) with using of heat pump technology.
