Open call for free participation of communities in Lviv Urban Forum 2024

The 2nd Lviv Urban Forum is an event that aims to bring together municipal professionals, including mayors, chief architects, heads of urban planning departments and other specialists, as well as business representatives and citizens, to discuss what urban planning policy and legislation should be, and what tools and resources can be used to make qualitative changes in cities.

Participation in the forum is chargeable, but representatives of municipalities can apply for free participation. The selection is made on a basis of competition.

The event will take place on June 27-29, 2024.

The application deadline is May 1, 2024.

A response with the selection results will be sent to e-mail by May 10, 2024.

The ideal number is two or three specialists from one community. After all, effective decisions are made when everyone involved speaks the same language and is guided by the best urban practices.

Participation in the Lviv Urban Forum is an opportunity for municipalities to:

• gain access to more than 50 of the world's and Ukraine's best architects and urban planners;
• participate in workshops and rethink approaches to spatial development;
• get inspired for change, find ideas and partners to implement them.

The forum will bring together more than 1200 participants, including 600 experts from local governments.

The event is organized by the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of the Lviv City Council as part of the Cities 4 Cities | United 4 Ukraine project, implemented in partnership with SALAR International.
