Online course for communities on cooperation with the media on the integration of internally displaced persons

For: local government officials who work with IDPs and are responsible for communications with the media.
Trainer: Dmytro Lytvynenko, a journalist with 25 years of experience working with the media, co-founder and coordinator of the "ZhurComClub", which unites more than 170 journalists.
The course is aimed at coordinating the efforts of local authorities and the journalistic community for common goals - to create an information space that will facilitate the successful integration of IDPs in communities and highlight new opportunities for their development thanks to IDPs and the efforts of local authorities.
Practical benefits of the course:
- The course materials were developed based on the analysis of dozens of TV stories on other media, their viewing ratings and public perception;
- the course is aimed at promoting cooperation between local authorities, NGOs and journalists;
- The expected result of the course is TV stories and other media materials about IDP integration stories and community development.

- common misconceptions about IDPs and the role of local authorities;
- components of a powerful story about IDPs and the positioning of local authorities and community development prospects in stories about IDPs.
After completing the course, interested participants will have the opportunity to continue personal consultations with the course trainer.

Participation is free of charge subject to prior registration. The training is being conducted by the IFC Energy Efficiency and Crisis Response Advisory Program in Ukraine with funding from the European Union.
