On Sunday, August 11, Bernhard Stengel, Minister of Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation of the State of Thuringia, visited the EECU's office.
During the two-hour conversation, Mr. Stengele asked about the urgent needs of Ukrainian cities, options for solving the energy crisis caused by the aggressor's missile attacks, as well as options for assistance that could be provided by certain institutions and structures of his land to EECU member cities that suffered the most from the consequences of missile and "shahed" attacks.
In addition to EECU Executive Director Svyatoslav Pavlyuk and Project and Program Coordinator Andriy Kyrchiv, the meeting was attended by Andriy Martyniuk (Ecoclub, Rivne) and Andriy Andrusevych (Society and Environment, Lviv), so the distinguished guest had the opportunity to hear different views, ideas and visions expressed by representatives of the invited organizations.
In conclusion, Minister expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet on a weekend and in an informal setting, and said that the conversation had already given him a certain vision of ways to potentially assist, and that we can expect the first results soon.
