Hydrogen energy is the key topic of a conference of Danube Region experts
"We need peaceful energy, we need peace to build reliable energy cooperation and work on green energy solutions. But peace is not something that comes from nowhere. And today our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, who are fighting for peace for Europe, defending themselves against Russian invasion," said Dr Jan Stefan Röhl, President of the Ulm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in his opening remarks. His counterpart, Johannes Jung, Head of the Department for Strategy, Business Law, Foreign Trade and Europe at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, added that Russia's aggression in Ukraine has once again demonstrated that Europe needs a real and immediate diversification of energy sources, including more attention to green energy.
On 8-9 July 2024, the conference "The Danube Region at the Turn of the Century", dedicated to new approaches to energy solutions in the Danube Region, will be held in Ulm as part of the large-scale international festival Donaufest. At the invitation of the partners of the recently completed EU project EXITE, the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine is represented by Andriy Kyrchiv.
