Best practices of 5 EECU member cities that are implementing the European Green Deal
A collection of best practices in line with the European Green Deal from 5 member cities of the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine. The collection was prepared by EECU within the project “Integration of Sustainable Development in Ukraine in line with the European Green Deal”, funded by the European Union.
Achieving the goals of the European Green Deal (EGD) requires changes in many areas of our lives. Many of these changes will be implemented by Ukrainian municipalities, and it is their understanding and capacity that will largely determine the success of this historic transformation.
Ukrainian municipalities so far have little experience in implementing comprehensive programs that will lead cities to the 2050 climate neutrality goal. However, they do have a track record of planning and action that is worth following.
Examples of five EECU member cities (Vinnytsia, Dolyna, Lviv, Novoyavorivsk, Slavutych) show their transformational projects that are changing entire areas of life in Ukrainian cities and can serve as a model for other municipalities. Follow the example of the leaders and join in building a climate-neutral Ukraine!
The collection of examples is available here.
