An updated version of the manual of methodological recommendations for the construction and reconstruction of general secondary education institutions is available
We inform communities that an updated version of the manual "Methodological Recommendations - Basics of Design and Reconstruction of Energy Efficient Buildings of General Secondary Education Institutions with Improved Environmental Characteristics" (2024) is available.
The second edition of the Guidelines was developed with an update of the first edition (2021), taking into account the legislative changes that took place in the period 2021-2023, in particular the new Law of Ukraine "On Energy Efficiency", some DBNs and national standards in the field of waste management, demolition, thermal modernization, requirements for shelters, etc.
The material set out in the recommendations applies only to the 1st type of educational institutions providing general secondary education (primary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums) and contains five sections:
- Regulatory and technical framework for the construction and reconstruction of general secondary education institutions
- Recommendations for improving energy efficiency and environmental safety of school buildings
- Recommendations for choosing more environmentally friendly building materials and products
- Preparation of feasibility studies for reconstruction/thermal modernization projects of school buildings
- Assessment of the environmental effect of the implementation of reconstruction / thermal modernization projects of school buildings
