Academy of Energy Sustainability for Businesses launches in 5 cities of Ukraine
Ukrainian businesses will be taught how to work effectively in the face of energy challenges as part of the Academy of Business Energy Sustainability. It was organised by the United Nations Development Programme and Greencubator with the support of the Government of Japan. The first two-day trainings for companies will take place in Kharkiv on 9-10 December and in Vinnytsia on 16-17 December.
The Academy of Energy Sustainability for Business was created to help businesses adapt to energy challenges, minimise the risk of losses and use energy resources more efficiently. The Academy aims to teach businesses how to implement sustainability strategies and create new opportunities for development even in difficult conditions.
Entrepreneurs can take the two-day training course in the city nearest to them. Trainings will be held offline between December 2024 and January 2025 in five cities across Ukraine:
Kharkiv — 9-10 December
Vinnytsia — 16-17 December
Odesa — 13-14 January
Lviv — 20-21 January
Kyiv — 27-28 January
Business owners, managers, financial directors, energy managers, and power engineers of medium-sized enterprises in the manufacturing and service sectors are invited to participate in the training.

Participants will be selected on a competitive basis with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses with 20 or more employees. The United Nations Development Programme will cover travel and accommodation costs for participants from the region.
The course is taught by experienced experts:
✔️ Roman Zinchenko - Chairman of the Board of Greencubator, guest lecturer at the Lviv Business School of UCU.
✔️ Vadym Lytvyn - Head of the Association of Energy Auditors of Ukraine.
✔️ Stanislav Melnyk - Director of PDM Engineering LLC, energy designer.
✔️ Yulia Usenko - Head of the All-Ukrainian Agency for Investment and Sustainable Development.
The two-day training programme will include 8 topics, including:
Risk assessment. Possible losses of goods, customers, raw materials, production facilities, suppliers, employees, and more.
Modelling external risks. What happens outside the gates of your company? Banks, logistics, customs, and your accounting outsourcing?
New management tasks. We define new management tasks to implement a business sustainability system.
Assessment of critical energy needs. How we measure and manage critical energy needs. Energy dashboard. Internal consumption metering and what it gives us.
Project financing. Own money, loans, ESCOs, and others. How to finance energy sustainability projects.

The Energy Sustainability Business Academy course was created as part of the Sustainable Business Platform.
