The application to the Cities in Placemaking program is open
Cities in Placemaking is a two-year educational and leadership initiative aimed at raising awareness of best practices in urban development, with the goal of helping communities create comfortable, inclusive, and sustainable public spaces.
Cities in Placemaking program offers a unique opportunity for participating cities to learn and share experiences in placemaking, develop key skills and strategies, and strengthen their capacity to implement positive and sustainable changes in their communities, with a focus on the importance of placemaking as a city-level strategy.
Representatives of city administrations and local governments are invited to participate. In particular, the city of Vinnytsia is already an active participant in this initiative.

How to apply?
Read the information about the program. Before applying, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the details of the program on the official website of Placemaking Europe. You will learn about the main goals, opportunities, and requirements for participants.
To apply, please send a motivation letter that should include the following points:
- City problems: describe the main urban problems your city is facing. These may include issues such as the lack of quality public spaces, the need for urban revitalization, etc.
- Ideas for shaping space: suggestions for space shaping initiatives that can be implemented in your city. Describe in detail how these initiatives can transform urban space and benefit the local community.
- Financial and logistical support: please indicate whether you can provide financial support in the amount of EUR 12,000 for each of the two years of the program. If you are not able to provide support directly, please indicate whether a third party will be responsible for the funding.
- Participating departments: please list the departments that will be involved in the program, such as urban planning, community development, environment or transport.
The letter should be short (maximum one page) and signed by a responsible official. This will help to better understand the city's willingness and capacity to actively participate in the program.
