Sustainable Energy Days in Myrhorod Community

As part of the Sustainable Energy Days, Myrhorod hosted the Bike to Work event on June 28. It was attended by employees of the Executive Committee of Myrhorod City Council, the Department of Social Protection, the Territorial Center for Social Services, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, the Department of Culture and others. Every year, more and more participants join the event, which indicates the growth of environmental awareness among citizens.

It is worth noting that according to the Lviv Cyclists Association, Myrhorod was recognized as the most cycling city in Ukraine. This title reflects the city's great contribution to the popularization of cycling and the development of cycling infrastructure. Myrhorod actively supports cyclists by creating safe conditions for their movement.

In addition, on June 26, students of the Photonaturalists group of the Center for Extracurricular Education presented their work "Energy Efficiency - Present and Prospects," which won the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition "Energy Efficiency and Ecology for Schoolchildren with Ariston." After the presentation of the project, employees of the Strategic Planning, Investment Policy and Energy Management Department of Myrhorod City Council organized a tour of the solar power plant installed at the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital for children.

In addition, the children were shown how to use alternative energy sources using special toys, such as a solar-powered airplane, a windmill, and an electronic construction set. Such practical examples help to better understand the principles of alternative energy sources and their importance for the future.
