Sustainable Energy Days in Khotyn
On 9 November, the Khotyn Support Academic Lyceum hosted an open physics lesson for 9th grade students on "Alternative Energy Sources" as part of the Sustainable Energy Days events.
The theory was combined with practical exercises and video materials. The students were awarded with gifts from the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine, and the most active ones received solar-power science kits.
Representatives of the Khotyn City Council presented samples of solar and wind power plants, and the students presented their own copies.
The Sustainable Energy Days aim to spread awareness of the use of renewable energy sources, increase energy efficiency and preserve the environment, and as a result, improve the climate situation in communities by strengthening environmental and energy awareness from childhood. Member communities of the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine can receive support for events from EECU, so when planning your Sustainable Energy Days, don't forget to contact the Association's representatives.
