Sustainable Energy Days are over in the Kalush community!
Kalush City Council, a member of EECU since 2016 and a signatory to the Covenant of Mayors since 2023, organized a series of events for residents from June 21 to 27. The Sustainable Energy Week has become a platform for raising environmental awareness in the community, which is an important component of the Covenant signatories' commitment to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 35% by 2030.
The main events in the community this year included the following:
- On June 21, the Kalush community held a "Day Without a Car" campaign.
- On June 25, the conference "Efficient Operation of Public Buildings: The Way to Optimal Energy Efficiency" was held to discuss ways to improve energy efficiency in public buildings.
- On June 26, a clean-up day was held at the Ivan Franko Park to clean up and improve the environment.
The final event was the "Fun Scooter Races" for preschools.
Despite the completion of the Sustainable Energy Days, the community plans to continue to hold similar educational events. The Kalush City Council claims that achieving its CO2 emission reduction commitments is only possible through the synergy of the city council, business, and the public.
