Delegates discussed the topics of renewable energy in communities during the war; the experience of installing SPPs at healthcare facilities and for local water utilities; the current state of district heating, the need for restoration and development prospects, in particular, the results of the development of technical documentation for the installation of heat pumps in central heating systems.
EECU representative Sergii Kosharuk took part in the discussion, spoke about the Association's activities in these areas and called on representatives of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and the Presidential Office to join the creation of financial instruments for investing in the energy transition of communities, in particular, in terms of receiving economic dividends by communities from reducing greenhouse gas emissions as a result of the abandonment of fossil fuels and the transition to renewable energy sources.
