Lviv presented energy efficiency achievements during the European Energy Week in Brussels
Today, during the session "Leaders of Eastern Europe's Energy Transition" at the European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels, Lviv presented its achievements on the way to climate neutrality.

Andriy Moskalenko, First Deputy Mayor, spoke about the city's achievements in energy efficiency and climate change.

Lviv was the first city to sign the Covenant of Mayors in 2009. By developing the topic of emissions reduction, the city has committed itself to becoming climate neutral by 2050.

Andriy Moskalenko presented the projects that Lviv is implementing to achieve this goal:
development of electric transport,
a waste management program,
biogas production,
modernization of the city's electricity supply.
According to the deputy mayor, Lviv has ambitions to become a European Green Capital in 2025-2026.

European Sustainable Energy Week is an annual event organized by the European Commission dedicated to renewable energy sources and efficient use of energy in Europe and beyond. It brings together public authorities, private companies, non-governmental organizations and consumers to promote energy efficiency initiatives and renewable energy sources for clean, safe and efficient energy.
