Energy saving classes for children in Trostianets community
On the occasion of the International Energy Conservation Day, which is celebrated on 11 November, the Trostyanets secondary school #5 held a lesson on green energy for third-graders as part of the Sustainable Energy Days.
The students learnt about renewable and non-renewable energy sources and watched a video about climate change. Games such as Energy Sources, Guess the Energy Source, and Renewable Energy Sources were played to help pupils learn about energy types, their generation, and ways to reduce their use in everyday life.
The tasks of the "Association Bush" exercise helped to identify a list of exhaustible fuel resources that are used to generate electricity. The umbrella taught children the rules of saving electricity. Together with the architect, the Know-it-all, children examined a model of a windmill and created their own projects of renewable energy sources.
As a reminder of the interesting lesson, the students received gifts from the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine.
