DiXi Group announced sub-grant competition for sustainable community development

NGO DIXI GROUP invites interested NGO s to participate in a sub-grant competition within the framework of the project "Integration of Sustainable Development in Ukraine in line with the European Green Deal", implemented with the financial assistance of the European Union.
We aim to support changes in communities and localities that are developed and implemented in accordance with the principles of the European Green Deal.
Project proposals should meet one of the following thematic categories:
- Infrastructure development for green transformation or green community regeneration;
- Circular economy, including waste management;
- Greening and climate change adaptation.
To be eligible for a subgrant, the applicant must:
- be a legal entity registered in accordance with the law;
- be included in the tax registers as a non-profit organization;
- not be a political organization;
- propose a non-profit project that does not generate profit for the organization;
- confirm compliance with the requirements for the absence of a conflict of interest;
- provide a complete set of documents specified in the rules for submitting the application form for subgranting;
- have developed and approved regulations/policies governing procurement and accounting policies.
The following is not allowed for the competition:
- political parties;
- civil society organizations whose activities are related to political parties;
- state authorities and local self-government bodies;
- state and municipal institutions and establishments.
Expenses for salaries, travel, and research are not eligible.
The expected duration of the projects is 3 to 6 months. Optimally, up to 4 months.
Possible subgrant amount: from 1000 to 3 000 euros in UAH equivalent.
Project activities may include (but are not limited to) the installation of solar chargers in public places, community greening activities, clean-ups, small waste management, composting and recycling projects, etc. Applicants must demonstrate a creative approach to the development of project proposals, so there is no exclusive preliminary list of possible projects and initiatives. The subgrant will be provided to the organization's account in UAH, according to the official euro exchange rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine at the time of signing the agreement.
Criteria for evaluating applications:
- the required amount of funds for implementation and/or the effectiveness of the use of the subgrant budget;
- compliance of the expected results and ways to achieve them with the project goal (sustainability of the result);
- the Applicant's experience of cooperation with donor organizations/grant history and successful implementation of previous projects and/or the experience of the Applicant's staff who plan to participate in the project activities;
Additional advantages may include:
- innovative approach;
- experience in specific, highly specialized areas of activity;
- creativity;
- work with specific audiences.
Applications will be accepted until March 25, 2024 at 18.00.

The application of a potential sub-recipient must at least contain:
- application form of the established sample
- general budget form for the subgrant project with explanations (budget description);
- a copy of documents confirming the registration of the legal entity in accordance with the law;
- a copy of the decision to include the enterprise, institution, organization in the Register of non-profit organizations (confirmation of non-profit status);
- copy of the charter of the future recipient;
- certificate of opening a bank account;
- a certificate of no arrears of payments, the control over the collection of which is entrusted to the controlling authorities;
- a completed checklist of the applicant's verification;
- if necessary, a letter of approval of the project from the local government of the community or an explanation of the form of ownership of the project area.
The results of the competition are expected to be reviewed and published by the end of March 2024.
