Call for proposals for the Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Programme in Ukraine from The European Investment Bank (EIB)
The Ministry of Reconstruction, Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has announced the start of project selection under the Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Ukraine programme.
Advantages of the programme:
- Long loan repayment period - up to 20 years, of which 5 years is a grace period with interest-only payments;
- low lending rate;
- the possibility of including VAT in the loan amount;
- financing not only energy efficiency measures;
- no requirements for the payback period of the project;
- a grant for the production of an energy certificate and design and construction documents (for cities with a population of up to 50,000);
- free advisory support at both the preparation and implementation stages of projects.
The goal of the programme is to finance thermal modernisation projects in public buildings to improve their energy efficiency. The programme is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized cities that have not yet had the opportunity to implement such projects. In addition to thermal modernisation projects, the programme also provides funding for non-energy efficiency measures (repair of premises, construction of shelters, measures for people with limited mobility and internally displaced persons).
Programme details are available here.
Proposals from cities are accepted until 10 December 2023 at UPBEE.proposal@mtu.gov.ua
