Call for Projects 2024 with a total funding of EUR 100 million from The Mitigation Action Facility
The Mitigation Action Facility (hereinafter referred to as MAF) is a flexible multi-donor grant fund that promotes sectoral decarbonization. On December 6, 2023, during COP28 in Dubai, the MAF announced the launch of a call for proposals.
Deadline for project submission: February 29, 2024 at 15:00 (CET).
The next application webinar will take place on February 7, 2024 at 14:00 (CET).

The competition will consider ambitious and realistic climate change mitigation projects. The total amount of project funding is up to EUR 100 million, with funding for one project up to EUR 25 million.
Submission of project concepts, document templates, and a recording of the previous webinar is available by this link.
The benefit of the competition is that the application process is simplified and open to a wider range of potential applicants - first, there is a call for Project Concepts, and only then - the submission of Project Outlines. 25 project concepts are planned to be selected, they will further be developed into detailed project plans. There is a limit of 10 Project Concepts per applicant.
The Facility primarily focuses on three priority sectors – energy, transport and industry, but remains open to cross-sectoral projects linked to one of the priority sectors.
We recommend to dive in with the competition requirements and not to delay your application. Participation in such competitions will be an advantage for further grant applications of communities.
