8th Ukrainian Gas & Power Forum: New World Energy Architechture and Green Transition
On 25-26 October 2023, the 8th Ukrainian Gas & Power Forum: New World Energy Architechture and Green Transition will be held in Kyiv in a hybrid format (online + offline).
⬇️Given the growing need for communities to provide energy capacity to connect new and relocated enterprises, as well as the risks to stable supply, the topic of energy self-sufficiency of communities is becoming particularly relevant, which will be discussed at a separate panel⬇️
The first day of the forum will be dedicated to the gas market of Ukraine, in particular, the following issues will be raised:
- challenges and successes of gas production in Ukraine, investment attraction;
- how the war has affected the structure of gas demand in Ukraine: industry, households, and the social sector;
- what will be the gas balance of Ukraine in 2023-2024;
- new horizons for Ukrainian gas production;
- EU electricity market reform and its implications for Ukraine;
- Renewable gas market in Ukraine: current state and development prospects;
- adaptation of European legislation on biomethane, hydrogen and other synthetic gases in Ukraine. Readiness for cooperation.
The second day will be dedicated to the transition to green gas: is it realistic for Ukraine?
- green gas as a subject of regulation (Ukraine, EU, world);
- extraction/production, transportation, storage and consumption of biogas in Ukraine;
- forecasting the future: the balance of green/natural gas by 2030;
- successful experience of countries on the way to decarbonisation of industry;
- post-war reconstruction: an opportunity to reform and decarbonise the electricity market;
- cybersecurity of energy infrastructure and power plants.

The cost of the basic participant package (offline, at the venue of the event, namely the Intercontinental Kyiv Hotel) is EUR 400 (excluding VAT).
The cost of the basic participant package (online) is EUR 100 (excluding VAT).
